Matt Hughes has been training for nearly a decade for a fight with Royce Gracie without even realizing it. But was it fair?

That’s hard to say. Matt Hughes is a tremendous athlete with dedication to his craft and an abundance of skill. Add to that palette an army of trainers teaching students how to defend and counter Royce Gracie’s every move, and Matt Hughe’s victory becomes somewhat destiny.

In theory, another Gracie would have had a much better shot at beating Matt Hughes. Take a look at Renzo Gracie’s incredible performance against BJ Penn, who has been touted as pound for pound the best fighter on the planet by many. Renzo fought tough and nearly pulled out a victory. His different style than Royce’s may have been enough for him to gain victory over Hughes.

Royce is possibly the greatest ever, but even a bullet can be dodged when its target has advanced warning.

A strategy for Royce, which under normal circumstances would seem absurd, would be to do the opposite of what some of the Gracie Jiu Jitsu tactics are. When he should place his body weight a certain way, if he were to suddenly shift the opposite way his opponent would be totally thrown off momentarily. And a moment is all a boa constrictor like Royce needs.

A number of the UK’s major energy firms including E.On, Southern Energy, and Scottish Power have shown interest with regard to the plan. Some neighboring European firms are also said to be trying to cash-in on the deal.

A few of these are the Irish Sea, Isle of Wight, Hornsea, Bristol Channel and the place where the largest wind farm will be positioned is at Dogger Bank.

If the latest project becomes a reality, as much as 32 gigawatts of electricity will be produced and distributed to nearby residences.

Furthermore, the UK is said to have the most resources of wind in the world. Estimates say that the UK has a sufficient amount of wind resource to power the nation three times.

Depending on each wind farm, power output varies in terms of range. The biggest site which is said will be at Dogger Bank will generate 9,000 megawatts of electricity while the smallest is assumed to yield up to 600 megawatts of power.

Using wind farms to make electricity will be beneficial to the country’s environment and power dependency but it still has some cons. For one, the quantity of watts that gets supplied is dictated by the speed of the wind and wind blows can stop any time.

Compared to gas and coal power plants, wind farms often tend to be more expensive due to the new technology necessary to make turbines more effective and maintainable.

Then there are oil and varnish blends. They work similar to an oil finish but have a bit more protection to them but they are not for building layers.

Shellac is a natural resin but not is as durable as the others are. It?s not good for items such as kitchen counter or cabinets for example. It is a fast drying product though and you can get it in various colors.

Lacquer is usually applied with a spray gun but the fumes can be dangerous and the dry dust is explosive.

There are some really good what are labeled as water based finishes but they all have a certain amount of solvent in them. Their two weaknesses is they show brush marks and they bubble when you are applying them so use a synthetic brush for this.

Proper sanding between coats of your finish is one of your most important steps. Be sure to use fine sandpaper. The sanding removes bumps and uneven spots. Especially made sandpaper for wet sanding is ideal. Really, take the time to research the various finishes you are going to use to get the best application and intended use from them.
