Top UK Vacations For The Whole Family
There are too many top UK vacations to mention in one article. Therefore, this article names a few of the most popular places. Starting with London, the home to musical theatre. The West End is a place many people head to year after year to watch a top show. Hotels situated near theatre land do very well. Many hotels do their own theatre package at a special price. They offer good rooms with theatre tickets to see a show. It’s possible to find these hotel packages on-line.
Blackpool provides plenty to do for the whole family. The pleasure beach has rides galore including the new Nickelodeon Land for children. The sea-life centre has lot’s of fish, sharks, seahorses, eels, crabs, jellyfish and octopus. The sea-life centre is an excellent day out for the whole family and even has its own shop to buy souvenirs. After a day at the sea life centre people can enjoy a meal in Harry Ramsden’s well known fish and chip shop.
Blackpool has plenty of piers where bingo and other games are played. The beach is a wonderful place to spend the day on the beach. The kids can enjoy riding on a donkey and making sandcastles. There are also theatres in Blackpool that have great shows.
Brighton is very similar to Blackpool and is a seaside Town. Plenty of families enjoy holidays year after year at Brighton. Brighton is a place where good food can be enjoyed and drinking spots are popular. There are plenty of B&B’s that attract customers all year around. However, Brighton is busiest in the summer months.
Liverpool is well known throughout the world. It has always been a place where families flock to. Liverpool has a ferry port that crosses the river Mersey to other well known places. There are many shops and places to eat.
The Lake District is a calm, scenic place with plenty of walking paths. Nobody wants to miss a holiday that offers a scenic treasure of rambling routes. The Lake District is popular for its Kendal mint cake.
The Peak District is home to Chatsworth House, Dovedale Valley, Buxton, Hardwick Hall, Bakewell and Blue John Cavern to name but, a few. Chatsworth House is a historic house where people can enjoy looking at famous art pieces and plenty of free walks. Dovedale valley has a series of attractive villages and walks.
Buxton is well known for its water, but it also has many other wonderful attractions. There are great hotels and B&B’s in this area that is also home to Hardwick Hall. Harwick Hall is an Elizabethan House that features well known tapestries and embroideries. There is a selection of small towns in the Peak District including Bakewell. Blue John Cavern provides tours of the caverns and the chance to buy jewellery specially made with Blue John.
